• 1.Introduction

I was a technical project manager for updating a streetlight network system. This system is to improve city’s streetlight system in controlling and managing, and innovate a convenient streetlight network system.

  • 2. Project Objective

To design and innovate an integrated streetlight network system and platform, a recovery plan, and streetlight renovation in 14 months at a cost not to exceed $ 20 million.

  • 3. Milestones

  • Needs assessment report and analyses finished by June 5th, 2015
  • Operation interface design completed by August 5th, 2015
  • Operating system functional code completed by September 25th, 2015
  • Lighting operating system finished by November 30th, 2015
  • Monitoring system constructed by January 25th ,2016
  • LED streetlights installed by May 25th ,2016
  • Monitoring and operating system’s tests and modification completed by July 26th, 2016
  • Recovery plan formulated and trial operation completed by June 26th, 2016
  • Final test and whole streetlights network system and platform finished by September 7th ,2016
